Certain foods (like nuts and seafood), insect bites/stings, and medications can trigger a severe allergic reaction. For parents with school-age children, allergies are a significant concern. Not only do you have to be vigilant about what goes into your child’s school lunch, but you also have to make sure your child’s EpiPen is close at hand, ready for when they need it. Do you check the expiration date on your EpiPen regularly? You should because the shelf-life of an EpiPen is typically shorter than most drugs. How comfortable is your child using the device?
