Wondering what vaccines and medications you need for international travel? If you’ve got a clue but aren’t quite sure, come see the team at Well and Truly RX. Traveling abroad can be especially tricky given the number of diseases, pathogens, and virus variants present throughout the world. To make sure you’re prepared, you’ll have to pack a few extras besides your passport and toothbrush! From travel medications to vaccinations, our travel consultations will ease the burden and get you fully prepared for your vacation.
Getting immunized helps to build antibodies to fight germs and goes a long way in mitigating the risk of disease. Depending on your travel destination, you may need additional protection against pathogens you haven’t been previously exposed to. Fortunately, some of these disease risks may be vaccine preventable and with proper planning, can be taken care of well in advance of your travel.
Which vaccines should I take?
To be best prepped for your journey, the Well and Truly RX team recommends that you visit our pharmacy six weeks prior to your departure. During your assessment, our knowledgeable and friendly staff will discuss health risks associated with the region you’re traveling to, walk you through your immunization history, and recommend what you may need to meet the entry requirements of your destination. They’ll also guide you on which travel medication may come in handy.
